Join us for a fun-filled schedule of events on World Whisky Day!
All day long you can join us for specials on whisky and cocktails; we’ll be pulling out some vintage barrels, and doing a release of our newest barrel of HONEY WHISKY.
We’ll open up the backyard for music at 5 p.m., with local favorite Wendy Woo rocking the stage until 8 p.m. Food truck La Rue Bayou will be parked on site and serving up Cajun food for Colorado ALL DAY, from noon to 8 pm.
At noon, our head distiller will host an intimate, guided tasting featuring some of his favorite Spirit Hound whisky; he’ll dig back into the vault, as well as pull out some new, previously unreleased barrels. The tasting will last one hour and is limited to 10 people. Cost of the tasting is $40, and includes a charcuterie tray. Weather permitting, the tasting will take place in the backyard under the tent, and will give all guests a chance to pick Craig (‘the professor’)’s brain.
You MUST sign up in advance, either online or in our tasting room (payment required). Online signup available here:http://www.spirithounds.com/purchase
At 2 pm, join the mind behind the bees for a fun, hour-long session of sampling honey and whisky. Beth will talk all things honey-making (with some show-and-tell), and you’ll get to participate in a honey tasting. Then we’ll pull out a couple of iterations of the Spirit Hound malt whisky finished in used honey barrels, and you’ll have a chance to compare and contrast the different ‘vintages’. Meats, cheeses and honey comb will be included for snacking. Limited space available, and you must sign up in advance (payment required).
