The Teeling Whiskey Company was founded in 2012 to bring back an independent voice to the Irish whiskey category. The Teeling Whiskey Company aims to be Ireland’s leading independent Irish whiskey producer driving category choice and innovation through a selection of unique handcrafted small batch Irish whiskeys. The Teelings have being crafting Irish whiskey since 1782 when Walter Teeling had a distillery on Marrowbone Lane in The Liberties of Dublin.
In January, the Teeling Whiskey Company (TWC) announced plans for a new whiskey distillery to be located in Dublin’s Newmarket Square in The Liberties, Dublin 8. The first new distillery in Dublin in over 125 years brings the Teelings home to their ancestral roots. Production starts in the fourth quarter of 2014 and the visitor centre opening its doors in early 2015.
The Teeling’s are renowned for their vision in doing things differently and their Whiskeys embody this entrepreneurial spirit. The Teeling Small Batch bottling consists of hand selected casks which are given further maturation in ex-rum barrels imparting an extra sweet and smooth flavour unique to Irish Whiskey. By bottling at 46% with no chill filtration completes an Irish Whiskey of true character. The Teeling Single Grain bottling was recently awarded World’s Best Grain at The World Whiskies Awards. This award winning addition to the Teeling portfolio consists of hand selected casks fully matured in Californian Cabernet Sauvignon wine barrels, a completely unique process in Irish whiskey making.
The Teeling Whiskey Company also boasts a collection of extremely rare Vintage Reserves bottlings. The Teeling Vintage Reserve Collection consists of handcrafted small batch releases of very rare and old Irish Single Malt whiskeys. Containing some of the oldest Single Malt Irish whiskey ever bottled, the Vintage Reserve Collection allows you to savour and appreciate Irish whiskey at its finest. The Vintage Reserve Collection are all individually hand bottled in exclusive decanters ensuring the finest presentation and care is given to such rare whiskey offerings.
